I have become addicted to the flavors of Mexico, and am making it a point to try everything on the menu, at least once! The first time I went to Pelancho’s I decided to try the Fajita Taco Salad. The crispy flour tortilla shell is loaded with Fajita style beef or chicken, and topped with lots of melted cheese, sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole, and pico de gallo. I ordered the Fajita style beef and ended up taking half it home!

A couple of weeks ago I had a date, and was asked where I wanted to dine that night. Of course, I said Pelancho’s! We had a fantastic time, and our server even took our photo with the restaurants mascot. My date and I started with a delicious margarita, and shared a plate of Shredded Chicken Nacho’s. For the main course, I went with Tacos de Carne Asada and was not disappointed. The entrée included three soft tacos filled with deliciously tender steak, and pico de gallo, it also included a baked potato, and charro beans. These were seriously the best taco’s I have ever tasted. My date has a big appetite, so he decided on the Pelancho’s Burrito. The large flour tortilla came served with seasoned ground beef, or tender chicken and was topped with shredded lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes, and cheese. The portion was huge, but my date ate everything including the refried beans and rice that came with the meal.

I cannot resist Pelancho’s and dragged my girlfriend out for dinner last night. I am well on my way to trying everything on the menu, and had a shredded chicken chimichanga that was so delicious I ate the whole thing. Deep-fried to a golden brown it was filled with cheese sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, pico de gallo, and guacamole. I must have been hungry, because I even finished the rice and beans that were included!
